The Frontiers of Psychotherapist’s Development (FPD)

In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.—American moral and social philosopher, Eric Hoffer (1973, p. 22)

Introduction:

This is about pushing the edge of your development. As psychotherapists, we are honored not only to be in a position to help the people we serve, but also challenged to develop our-selves. When we grow, our clients benefit.

In The Frontiers of Psychotherapist’s Development blog, ideas pulled together from the studies of expertise in a variety of professional fields (thanks to the research of K. Anders Ericsson and colleagues), education, as well as from psychotherapy research, will be shared on regular basis.
